How toqe works

The manual — every page of the app, what it’s for, and the ideas that hold it together.

toqe keeps a freelancer’s bookings, cash forecast and invoicing in one local file. These pages walk through every part of it; the sidebar is the map.

Three ideas carry the whole app

Your work is days. Projects aren’t date ranges — their days are painted, one by one, on a calendar. A half day is half the rate, a weekend only counts if you deliberately add it, and a day off pulls itself out of every live booking. Because the days are real, everything downstream — the fee arithmetic, the invoice line items, the forecast — can be real too.

Every project climbs one ladder. The same statuses wear the same colours on every surface — the pipeline, the calendar, the timeline, the invoice ledger — so a glance reads the same everywhere. These are the app’s own pills:

The ladder says where the work is. Where the money is is a second, separate reading, worked out from the invoices themselves — so a job can be Ongoing and already part invoiced, and both facts show. Projects has the full ladder, rung by rung, and the money axis beside it.

The forecast is a simulation, not a report. toqe takes every booked day, spreads each project’s money across its weekdays, applies your invoice lag and each client’s payment terms, subtracts your bills, and holds tax back as it goes — then tells you plainly when the money runs out if nothing else books.
